Psychology online & Guildford

We offer counselling and psychotherapy in Guildford, Surrey and online. Jo and the team can work with you on a range of issues including anxiety, depression, OCD, BPD, ASPD postnatal issues and menopause.

We will highlight your goals, develop a plan to support you reach them and then work to help you gain insight, relief and the tools necessary to bring about change. We use a range of different evidence-based therapies and techniques, including CBT, solution focused and mindfulness, helping you to explore your past, current or future concerns.

Jo and her team offer online therapy for those who can’t make it to the clinic room for whatever reason. Using our online Jane App platform, we can set up weekly sessions to treat you in the exact same way as we would in person.

CBT online & in Guildford

Jo and her team are trained to offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) online and in Guildford which is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It incorporates an examination of your thoughts with a behavioural approach.

DBT online & in Guildford

We offer a full DBT programme in Guildford, Surrey (currently online). This includes a group skills training, individual DBT and the options of crisis skills coaching. The full DBT programme can be attended via self-referral or psychiatrist referral. The group can also be attended as a stand alone programme.

If you want to attend this expert programme for BPD/EUPD or impulsive behaviours such as such as self harm, or binge eating, then DBT could be a good fit for you. We will work with you to increase emotional and cognitive regulation, teach you about your triggers that lead to reactive states and then help to apply coping skills to change your short and long term patterns of emotion and behaviour.

Dr Jo Gee

Jo is the Clinical Director and leads her experienced therapy team. She is a senior Clinical Psychotherapist, with 17 years experience delivering psychotherapeutic treatment and developing NHS, forensic and private therapeutic services in the UK.

An expert in personality disorders, she has a specialist interest in the treatment of emotional difficulties, perinatal mental health, and personality disorders in men, women and adolescents.

Dr Gee leads her team in the use of evidence-based treatments, ensuring interventions are in line with NICE guidelines and support current research. Jo carefully curated her team over many years, and is passionate about offering expert guidance and scientifically backed treatments to bring about long term change.

Our online and Guildford clinic fees range from £90-120 for a 50 minute session, or £100 for a therapy group.

Psychiatry is £390 for the initial assessment and £220 for follow up appointments.

Sessions can be self funded, or funded through health insurance, local authority or workplace schemes.

We accept most insurance providers, including AXA, WPA, Vitality, Aviva, Cigna and more.

We offer short and long term therapy arrangements so do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss setting up sessions.

Looking for additional tailored support? Individual therapy involves weekly one-to-one 50 minute sessions. The individual sessions work to reduce impulsive behaviours in and out of therapy, as well as helping you to reach your goals and through learning new skills.

The initial in-depth 90 minute assessment is £390, with follow up appointments being priced at £220.

When you meet your therapist for the initial assessment session, we will give you an outline of the different modalities, and in order to meet your goals, will let you know which approach is best suited to you. We can integrate approaches too!
If you continue to practice what we’ve learnt in the sessions, then the benefits are long term. Some people prefer to book a catch up session post treatment to help maintain gains made during the work.

After you have had a 15 minute free consultation, we book you in for an assessment. In the assessment, the therapist will take you through an assessment form, and will give you some forms and questionnaires to fill in. You will have time to ask questions, and we will talk you know a roadmap of your treatment going forward.

This appointment will normally last either 50 or 90 minutes. During this time we will explore your life and family history, your general health and any previous psychiatric history, along with any drug or alcohol use and any traumatic life experiences.
Yes. A partner or friend may be able to add useful information.
Please bring details of any current medication and any reports or assessments that may be helpful. You might also like to write a list of any issues you would like to discuss.
We will recommend a suitable treatment plan and any medication if required and agreed.
