While working in an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital, I noticed that I was drawn to those clients who could benefit from psychological help and not solely psychotropics. This motivated me to train and subsequently practice cognitive behavioural therapy and group therapy. I continue to learn about the human experience and affect change in people’s lives. I’m highly validating and empathic, and I find listening and helping others move through difficulty hugely rewarding.
